Advancing the Future of Cardiac Surgery in Kenya

Last week, Antarc hosted a focused gathering of cardiac surgeons and perfusionists from across Kenya.
Our goal was simple: to create a space where clinical teams could discuss current challenges, share successful cases, and explore new technology designed to support safer and more efficient cardiac surgery.

A Look Inside the Event

To begin, the session opened with real-world case presentations.
Surgeons walked the audience through recent cardiac procedures, explaining the techniques used, the patient conditions, and the factors that led to successful outcomes. These stories set the tone for the day:practical, data-driven and grounded in clinical experience.

After the case reviews, we introduced the new Heart-Lung Machine, designed to provide stable perfusion support during complex cardiac procedures.
During the demonstration, we highlighted several key features, including:

Furthermore, many attendees spoke about the pressure to deliver safe outcomes while managing high workloads and limited resources. They emphasized the need for tools that:
